Jubilee House System
Within Jubilee High School our house system is more than just a framework for pastoral care, it is central to our school community. By fostering a spirit of belonging, teamwork and friendly competition, our system encourages students to engage in a diverse range of sporting, cultural and academic pursuits.
Each tutor group is a blend of students from our four houses- Attenborough, Barrow, Turing and Busby- creating a dynamic and supportive environment where students learn from one another and develop lifelong skills.
Attenborough House
'Nature is our biggest ally and greatest inspiration'
House colour: Green
Inspired by Sir David Attenborough, this house reflects our commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability. We encourage all students to be mindful of the world around them and to contribute towards a greener future.
Turing House
'Sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine'
House colour: Red
Named after Alan Turing, this house represents innovation, curiosity, and problem-solving. As a school, we strive to foster a spirit of creativity and critical thinking, preparing students to embrace new challenges.
Barrow House
'Education is the key to unlocking the world—it is the passport to freedom'
House Colour: Purple
Honouring Dame Jocelyn Barrow, this house stands for human rights, equality, and social justice. We aim to create an inclusive and respectful community where all students value fairness and celebrate diversity.
Busby House
'Every story deserves to be told, and every voice deserves to be heard'
House Colour: Yellow
Inspired by Margaret Busby, this house celebrates literacy, storytelling, and the power of communication. We encourage a love of learning, expression, and the exploration of different voices and perspectives.
